Situated only a few short steps from the Protestant Church of the Redeemer, one finds St Mary's Church. Consecrated in 1895, it is the main Catholic church of Bad Homburg and at the same time the parish church of the pastoral area of Bad Homburg-Friedrichsdorf, part of the church district of the Hochtaunus. St Mary’s was designed by the master builder of the Mainz Cathedral, Ludwig Becker, in Neo-Gothic style. Like many other buildings on Dorotheenstraße, the church is monument-listed. Worthwhile attractions include the carved altars and three valuable works of art, namely the Middle Rhenish Pietà made of lime wood and created around 1380, a Lower Rhenish crucifixion group made of oak from around 1450 and a late-Gothic triumphal cross. In 1975, St Mary's Church was gifted an organ from the Bonn-based company, Klais. It combines modern and romantic styles and enriches the "organ landscape" of Bad Homburg.
