The "Hirschgarten" is one of the many largely preserved grounds of the Landgravial Gardens of Bad Homburg. Its origins may be traced back to Landgrave Frederick II, who used the premises as his hunting grounds. The gardens' actual design, however, dates back to 1822 and Landgrave Frederick VI Joseph. Today, the Hirschgarten is only a fifth of its original size. The idyllic park is the perfect place to rest and relax, especially during the warmer days of midsummer. The highlight of the park is the tame fallow deer, which enchant both young and old.
