District and family centers have been operating in Bad Homburg v.d.Höhe since spring 2011. Their task is to promote interaction between all generations and to network services across districts.
From March to November 2010, around 60 employees from various institutions worked in eight district teams to develop individual concepts for their respective districts. The aim was to identify existing services and needs in order to gradually create a network of corresponding services for each district.
The district groups formed from these workshops and the final event coordinate the offers and requests in the respective areas. For further information, please get in touch with the contact person at your district and family center.
The tasks and goals of the district and family centers are to build bridges between people and organizations.
The district and family centers act according to the following principles: Encounter, care, education, support and advice.
They also aim to promote interaction between the generations. There are offers for all age groups and a wide variety of needs, such as attractive leisure activities or sports and exercise opportunities.
