Digital inclusion

Digital inclusion - digital exclusion: participation in a digital society. There are two perspectives on digital inclusion: inclusion WITH digital media on the one hand and inclusion IN the digital society on the other. The city of Bad Homburg is trying to give citizens - with a focus on certain age groups - access to digital media.

As part of our digital inclusion project, we are equipping district and family centers better and offering online courses for all users. The focus is on the younger and older generations, without excluding other age groups.

Young people are introduced to the digital world in a fun way, while older people benefit from digitalization and digital inclusion in order to actively participate in digitally influenced social life. The ability to obtain information digitally, exchange opinions and store online enables older people to participate in society, even if they are not mobile. Messenger and video telephony promote contact with friends and family, which counteracts loneliness. Discover new ways to participate through digital inclusion!
