Fans of  Friedrich Hölderlin are urged to pay a visit to Villa Wertheimber, where they'll find extensive material on the great poet, who lived in Bad Homburg from 1798 to 1800 and 1804 to 1806.

Hölderlin Exhibitions: Foyer

The foyer shows changing exhibitions on the life and work of Friedrich Hölderlin, especially his manuscripts, which are property of the City of Bad Homburg.

Hölderlin Literature: First floor, Municipal Archives

Hölderlin Library: This theme library features nearly 400 books on the poet's life and work, accessible online along with the aforementioned manuscripts at www.stadtarchiv-bad-homburg.findbuch.net.

Sattler Library: The archives and library of the Hölderlin researcher and editor of the Frankfur Edition, D.E. Sattler, feature more than 650 books on Hölderlin and more than 100 archive boxes, 45 portfolios and 25  folders.

Hölderlin Residence: Second floor

Here, Hölderlin researchers, writers who have been awarded either the Hölderlin Prize or a special scholarship, and other writers, may reside free of charge while intensifying their research on the poet or working on a new book about him. The flat also serves as the residence of the town chronicler. During their stay, writers and researchers provide insights into their research or their writings by way of readings or lectures.
