Das Programm zum Sonntag „Cantate“ (Singet!“) spannt einen Bogen von der menschlichen Bitte um Erbarmen über die Erlösung aus der Not bis zum Lobpreis Gottes. Es beginnt und endet mit einem Werk von William Byrd, der vor 400 Jahren – am 16. Juli 1623 – gestorben ist.
