Smell, feel, taste: The sensory garden in Bad Homburg's spa gardens is known to be one of the first of its kind in all of Germany. Created by order of the City of Bad Homburg in 1983, this sensory garden is located in the northeastern part of the spa gardens. The water feature at the sensory garden's centre serves as the acoustic orientation point for blind and vision-impaired visitors. The garden is surrounded by eight raised flower beds featuring various types of plants, including kitchen herbs, medicinal herbs, roses and grasses. Descriptions are provided on signs in Braille and "normal" script.
