Bad Homburg's station building, quite elaborate for the size of Homburg at the time, owes its existence to Kaiser Wilhelm II's fondness for the baths. The stately building, built in the aesthetically pleasing Wilhelminian, neo-Renaissance style, was planned according to the emperor's specific wishes and inaugurated in 1907. The architect was the state councillor and governmental building officer, Armin Wegner. In 2007, the City purchased the reception hall. From 2011 to 2013, the station was renovated and developed into a "cultural station". The 400-sq/m "Kulturspeicher" situated in the station is an event location unique to the surrounding region, hosting concerts by renowned jazz musicians and newcomers from the scene. Tickets are available at the Tourist Info + Service Office at the Kurhaus Bad Homburg or at www.bad-homburg-tourismus.de and other ticket portals.
