At the fringe of the so-called Jubilee Park, one finds a monument of Kaiser Wilhelm II, the last German emperor. He had in 1913 celebrated his 25th year of rule. Bad Homburg honoured him with both this monument and the creation of Jubilee Park. Both were financed through private donations. There's an inscription on the two-metre-tall red sandstone base, telling of the creation and reason behind the monument. A originally affixed medallion with a relief of Wilhelm II was removed in 1920. In 1981, the sculptor, Ortrud Krüger-Stohlmann, created a new bronze relief of the profile of the last German emperor, which now graces the monument.
