Whether it’s enjoying wellness like royalty of bygone times or celebrating a wedding in a romantic setting, the Kaiser Wilhelm Baths rank amongst Bad Homburg's foremost attractions. It was here that in former times noble spa guests enjoyed mud and mineral baths, with ladies in the left wing and gentlemen in the right. The emperor naturally had his own spa area. Named after Kaiser Wilhelm I, the regal bathhouse with its impressive entrance was designed by Homburg's master builder, Louis Jacobi, in the style of the Italian High Renaissance. Today, it features all the modern comforts and appears to guests as a gateway to the Orient. The "New Bathhouse" was inaugurated in 1890. At the start of the new millennium, the local Kur- und Kongreß-GmbH comprehensively renovated the Kaiser Wilhelm Baths and created the current "Day Spa Kur-Royal", a key component of Bad Homburg's spa and wellness scene.
