This monument was inaugurated exactly 50 years after the infamous Pogrom Night of November 1938, during which the Jewish synagogue of Bad Homburg went up in flames. The bronze plaques bear the names of 81 Jewish holocaust victims from Bad Homburg. It was erected on Elisabethenstraße where the former synagogue once stood. Designed by Hendrikus Godding, a sculptor and former head of the arts and crafts department at VHS Bad Homburg, the memorial represents the shape of the window arches of the former Jewish place of worship.
