Youth groups

Youth welfare services are provided by independent youth welfare organizations and public youth welfare organizations. Independent youth welfare organizations are recognized associations and federations on a non-profit basis. The responsibility for recognition is based on the German Social Code and the Hessian state regulations. Groups can use the information sheet produced by the City of Bad Homburg to check whether they are eligible for recognition.

Public and independent providers

Public youth welfare organizations are municipalities, districts, the state or the federal government. The cooperation is designed to ensure that public youth welfare and the activities of independent welfare organizations effectively complement each other for the benefit of the citizens.

We support Bad Homburg's youth welfare organizations in their activities in the field of youth welfare both in an advisory capacity and financially:

  • through fixed annual group grants
  • through fixed grants per Bad Homburg member
  • through subsidies for leisure activities, trips and camps
  • by providing the "JugendMOBIL" (bus for 9 people)
  • by applying for a youth leader card
  • by cooperating with the youth collection week
