The hall is located on the north-eastern part of the sports field along Lange Meile, close to Oberer Mittelweg. The building is two-storey with a flat roof. Due to its location on the sloping terrain, each floor is accessible at ground level and barrier-free. The storeys are not connected to each other in the interior; they are two independent usage units.
Use: On the first floor, all users have access to the new gymnastics hall with equipment room on a floor area of approx. 140m², 2 changing and sanitary areas with barrier-free WC and a club room especially for TV Gonzenheim.
On the upper floor of the building there is a meeting room, sanitary facilities and changing rooms, as well as barrier-free WC facilities accessible from the outside and a referee room for use on the sports field.
Technical details: The heating system is a hybrid system with a heat pump and supplementary gas heating. There is a photovoltaic system on the roof with battery storage to supply its own electricity. The roof of the gymnastics hall is designed as a green roof. It serves as temporary storage for rainwater and also has a positive effect on the indoor climate of the gymnastics hall in the summer months.
