In Bad Homburg, the city has currently set up 42 charging points at 15 locations, each with 22kW and type 2 plugs (as well as earthed plugs), 2 of which are used for car sharing . The remaining charging points are permanently accessible to the public (some in parking garages). Stadtwerke Bad Homburg is currently in the process of expanding the charging network in Bad Homburg and its districts by at least 26 normal charging points and several fast charging points.
The prices have been 59 ct/kWh since 15.02.2023, as well as a starting flat rate of 50 cents and a time charge of 4 ct/minute from the 241 minute. For ad-hoc charging, the price is 69 ct/kWh, with a starting flat rate of €1 and a time charge of 6 ct/minute from the 241 minute.
Other operators have also set up charging points, for example at the Bad Homburg district administration office by Mainova and at the Aldi supermarket in the industrial estate.
