Advice for professionals in cases of suspected child endangerment

With the introduction of Section 8a SGB VIII, the legislator has extended the protection mandate in the event of child endangerment to independent youth welfare organizations
extended. Facilities and their employees are required to recognize the signs that a child's welfare is at risk.
An InsoFa "Insoweit erfahrene Fachkraft" (also known as IseF) must be involved in the risk assessment.

The child protection specialist conducts anonymous consultations. It provides support in the assessment of a possible risk to the child's welfare, encourages parents to talk to the child and to take advantage of opportunities to seek help.
The consultation is free of charge for educational professionals, healthcare workers and teachers.
