Digital media such as eBooks, eAudios, eVideos, ePapers, eMusic for free download have been part of the Bad Homburg City Library's offer since 2012. It is a partner in the OnleiheVerbundHessen.
The media can be read, listened to and viewed around the clock via download on private devices.
Access is either directly via the portal www.onleiheverbundhessen.de
Or via the Onleihe app for Android and Apple devices.
How the Onleihe works:
Select a medium
select your library under "Media account"
If a digital item is on loan, it can be reserved free of charge.
As soon as it is available for you, you will receive an e-mail.
The maximum loan period for digital media is 21 days for eBooks and eAudios, 7 days for eVideos and eMusic, 1 day (magazines) or 1 hour (daily newspapers) for ePapers.
Advantages of the Onleihe:
no returns,
no late fees,
no reminders.
After the loan period has expired, access to the borrowed digital media expires automatically.

Contains information on important personalities from business, culture, science and politics. The biographies briefly describe their influence and position, and explain their background and achievements.
Kindlers Literatur Lexikon
This is a unique encyclopedia of works and contains the most comprehensive German-language description of international literature.
Works from all literatures of the world are clearly explained in articles.
Kritisches Lexikon zur deutschsprachigen Gegenwartsliteratur (KLG)
Contains numerous articles on the life and work of German-language authors of the 21st century. Detailed biographies are supplemented by a list of works and a bibliography of secondary literature.
Critical Dictionary of Contemporary Foreign Language Literature (KLfG)
Contains articles on foreign-language writers of the 20th and 21st centuries who have shaped the literature of their language and cultural area. All original editions, all translations into German and the most important secondary literature are listed in detailed bibliographies.
TheDigital Library enables you to access various sources of information (library catalogs, literature databases, etc.) with a single search. This allows you to quickly and conveniently research where and how a text you have found is available - via document delivery, online, or in one of the member libraries.
