Approx. 10,000 media await you in our branch. With the library card you also have access to the Onleihe offer.

Here, too, the media are presented in worlds.

The new library in Oberhof combines the modern with the listed and the technically new with inviting furnishings. The media on offer ranges from cardboard books for beginners to novels and non-fiction books for children, young people and adults. Audio books, CDs, DVDs, magazines and games round off the range.

The library in Oberhof sees itself as a local media and leisure facility. The free WLAN on the premises extends the on-site offer to infinity.

The branch in Oberhof (Burgholzhäuserstr. 2b) is open Tue - Thu 9:30 - 19:00 thanks to Open Library.

The door does not open?

Then you are there outside service hours!

The door will only open unconditionally if there is staff in the building.

If you are there during opening hours, the door will open for you if you are 16 years or older and you hold your library card against the screen in the column in front of the door at the bottom right. (red marked area)

This must be a new generation card that begins with 01.... . ID cards that begin with 00... or perhaps even have a green color pattern cannot open the door for you. The exchange is free of charge and can be carried out by our staff in the branch office or in the main office.

Returns:

Items can be returned via the return machine below the stairs on the first floor. If the library is closed, it is not possible to return items.

The return box in front of the City Library in Oberhof is only open on Fridays to Mondays inclusive.

Please only return borrowed board games to the staff! Unfortunately, the large game boxes tend to block the return of other media.
