Child day care
Child day care includes the upbringing, education and care of children, the majority of whom are in the U3 age segment. According to § 29 HKJGB, child day care is a legally recognized form of care in a family environment. A childminder looks after up to five children in their own home or in rented premises. The small groups of children are similar to a family environment - the childminder develops into a permanent caregiver for your child. They also require a care permit from the responsible youth welfare office in accordance with § 43 SGB VIII. In addition, childminders regularly take part in supervision, further training (e.g. on developmental psychology, nutrition, early childhood education, legal bases) and special first aid courses.
The child day care office of the town of Bad Homburg v. d. Höhe supervises, supports and places child day care workers.
