Südcampus residential area

On the former Du Pont site, the SÜDCAMPUS Bad Homburg, there is now a beautiful residential area.

The town of Bad Homburg v.d.Höhe has drawn up a plan with the former owner of the site and the investor RockCapital. The aim is to create living space for everyone. The housing should be sustainable and good for the future. The city is giving up the commercial site. New residential space is being created here.

In the meantime, RockCapital has sold the land to Wüstenrot Haus- und Städtebau GmbH. This company is based in Ludwigsburg. The contract between the city and RockCapital has been transferred in full to the new owner and investor Wüstenrot Haus und Städtebau.

Urban design concept

The former Dupont site is very large. It is a general residential area. There is plenty of space for buildings.

The neighborhood has many apartments. There are many different apartments. So many people can live there. There are apartments for young and old people. There are apartments for different lifestyles. Most of the apartments are in large buildings. There are condominiums. There are also rental apartments. There are green inner areas. These are beautiful and pleasant.

There are many buildings on the edge of the area. The buildings are high. They protect against noise. The buildings are long and contiguous. There are fewer buildings in the interior of the area. The buildings are lower. There are also townhouses or terraced houses.

In the north of the area there is a large square. The square is between two streets. The square is the center of the area. In the south there is a long communal area. The area is private. In the west of the area there is a small square. The square is opposite the Accadis high school. There may be small stores here. A path for pedestrians and cyclists goes from north to south. The path runs through the area.

There is a daycare center with many groups. The daycare center is opposite the accadis-International School. It is in the northeast of the area. The daycare center is finished and open.
