Building supervision & building regulations
The building inspectorate is the point of contact for those wishing to build in the city of Bad Homburg v. d. Höhe. It advises and supports you in the implementation of your building project.
For questions about building projects in the rest of the Hochtaunus district, you will find a list of contacts here .
Building supervision is the responsibility of the state and is carried out by the building supervisory authorities. The building supervisory authorities monitor and control compliance with public law regulations. The highest building supervisory authority is the Hessian Ministry of Economics, Energy, Transport, Housing and Rural Areas in Wiesbaden. The Darmstadt Regional Council is the highest building supervisory authority for the Rhine-Main/South Hesse region. The building inspectorate of the city of Bad Homburg v. d. Höhe is responsible for the city area and performs the tasks (e.g. approval of construction projects, monitoring of construction sites and carrying out safety checks) of the lower building inspectorate.
