The city of Bad Homburg subsidizes the installation of noise-insulating windows and exterior doors.
The subsidy program of the town of Bad Homburg v.d.Höhe for the granting of subsidies for the installation of noise-insulating windows was adopted by the town council on 17.07.2003. Since then, any natural or legal person under private law has been able to apply for a grant from the town of Bad Homburg v.d.Höhe for the installation of noise-insulating windows and exterior doors in accordance with the guidelines for apartments owned or rented by them. Subsidies are available for the installation of noise-insulating windows and doors in living rooms (living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens) in apartments that are exposed to high levels of road traffic noise and were ready for occupancy before 01.01.1972. The installation measures are eligible if the distance between the window and the edge of the road is no more than 10 m and the newly installed windows provide insulation (noise level difference from inside to outside) of at least 35 dB (A).

A subsidy of max. 40% of the eligible costs can be granted if funds from this program are used exclusively. The maximum eligible costs are calculated from € 350 per square meter of window area, € 65 per window for the costs of installation and an additional € 400 for soundproofed ventilation equipment per bedroom window.
