Scrap metal and large electrical appliances

Scrap metal collection is free of charge for private households in Bad Homburg v. d. Höhe and is carried out by Meinhardt Städtereinigung GmbH & Co KG by appointment on call.

You can easily make an appointment using the online form "Bulky waste registration" or by calling 06172 6775 70.

Service times for telephone registration:
Monday to Friday
8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Bulky items such as

• Large electrical appliances, e.g. washing machine, electric stove, etc.
• Iron parts, e.g. pipes, metal chairs and frames
• Metal garden furniture
• Refrigerators

Criteria for taking away scrap metal or large electrical appliances:

• The registered waste metal/electrical appliances must be placed on the street or sidewalk by 7.00 a.m. at the latest on the collection day, but no earlier than the evening before (!). Please ensure that the sidewalk remains passable, including for baby carriages, walking frames, etc.
• Waste cannot be disposed of from private property!
• A prerequisite for the collection is that a residual waste garbage can that is managed by the city of Bad Homburg v. d. Höhe is available or registered on the property (collection address of the registration).
  

Please note
Small electrical and electronic appliances made of metal (e.g. lamps) must be disposed of via the small electrical appliance collection at the recycling center!
