Pollutants

Detoxify your waste garbage can and use the regular pollutant collections. Disposal of hazardous waste is only for private households and businesses in Bad Homburg v. d. Höhe. You can find the dates for the collection of hazardous waste here (see below).

What can be delivered?

Limited quantities (containers up to 20 liters, for corrosive liquids up to 10 liters, delivery up to max. 100 kg) are accepted free of charge:

  • Batteries, car batteries
  • Acids and alkalis
  • oil-contaminated waste (oil filters, cleaning cloths)
  • Laboratory chemicals (only from private use)
  • Aerosol cans with residual contents, fire extinguishers
  • Medicines (disposal also via pharmacies)
  • Cosmetics
  • Solvents and thinners
  • Household cleaners
  • Paints, varnishes, adhesives, glue
  • Plant treatment products
  • Pesticides
  • Wood preservatives
  • Edible oils and fats

Please note:

  • Please leave all products in their original packaging as this makes it easier to classify them.
  • Never pour residues together due to possible chemical reactions.
  • Under no circumstances should pollutants be left at the roadside; they must be handed over to the staff of the mobile hazardous waste collection service in person.
  • There is no obligation to accept unknown chemicals and hazardous substances.
