Bulky waste can be conveniently registered using the online form (external link - you will be redirected and leave the depot website).

It is also possible to make an appointment for collection by telephone on 06172 6775 70.

Criteria for the removal of bulky waste

  • A maximum of 4m³ of bulky waste will be taken away
  • The registered bulky waste must be placed on the street or sidewalk by 6.00 a.m. at the latest on the day of collection, but no earlier than the evening before (!).
  • Waste cannot be disposed of from private property (garages, yards, front gardens, etc.).
  • Only place on the roadside, do not take bulky waste to green areas, behind hedges, etc.
  • If possible, please ensure that the sidewalk remains passable, including for baby carriages, walking frames, etc. and that hydrants are not blocked! On very narrow streets without a sidewalk, the bulky waste must be deposited on the nearest possible section of road that can be accessed by the bulky waste vehicle, even if this is some distance away.
  • The prerequisite for bulky waste collection is that a residual waste garbage can managed by the City of Bad Homburg v. d. Höhe is available or registered on the property (collection address of the bulky waste registration).
  • Bulky waste collection is free of charge in Bad Homburg v. d. Höhe and is currently carried out by the company Meinhardt Städtereinigung GmbH & Co KG
  • Bulky waste includes household items and furnishings with an edge length of more than 80 cm which, due to their size and weight, do not fit into the residual waste garbage cans and for which there are no other waste containers. Size / length per individual item max. 2m, weight per individual item max. 50 kg

What belongs to bulky waste?

What can be taken away:

  • Aquariums (full glass)
  • Plastic bathtubs and showers,
  • Tree stumps/trunks and roots (max. 50 kg/each)
  • Beds, bedsteads (wood)
  • Floor coverings (laminate, PVC, parquet, etc.)
  • Comforters
  • Windows and glass doors (max. 2 pieces)
  • Wooden interior doors (max. 2 pieces)
  • Wickerwork items
  • Mattresses
  • Furniture (table, chairs, boxes, bed, cupboard, shelves, benches, kitchen, etc.)
  • PVC corrugated sheets in small quantities up to 10 m²
  • Mirrors and glass panes from furniture
  • Sports equipment (skis, table tennis table without base frame)
  • Jumping frames (wood)
  • Carpets and rugs (from 1 m edge length)

Not accepted:

  • Small parts in bags or cardboard boxes (!)
  • Agricultural film
  • Old clothes
  • Waste oil
  • Asbestos boards
  • Car batteries, car tires, car parts
  • Building rubble
  • Construction waste (e.g. cable ducts, chipboard, wall or ceiling panels,...)
  • Bitumen sheeting and roofing felt
  • Clay flower pots
  • Chemicals
  • Roof beams
  • Pressurized containers (gas cylinders or similar)
  • Electrical appliances
  • Paints and varnishes
  • Liquids
  • Yellow bags
  • Green waste
  • Residual waste
  • Complete heating oil tanks
  • Wood from outdoor areas Wood class A4
  • Insulating wool (mineral and rock wool)
  • Air conditioning systems
  • Furniture with fluorescent and energy-saving lamps

Please note that the bulky waste service is intended for the collection of individual items. House clearance or construction site disposal cannot be accepted. In this case, please contact a container service.
