Park and tree care

Bad Homburg attaches great importance to the design of its many green spaces, which characterize the cityscape. The same applies to an old and well-kept tree population.
The depot is involved in a wide range of activities here.

Tree crew

The tree crew is responsible for maintaining the city's 17,000 street and park trees and around 4,000 stream trees. Tree inspections and assessments are carried out in accordance with VTA (Visual Tree Assessment). The tree crew carries out tree planting, young tree pruning, training pruning, maintenance pruning, traffic safety, tree inspections and tree surveys. And, of course, tree felling.

Park maintenance teams

The park maintenance crews are responsible for the maintenance of the approx. 45-hectare spa park in accordance with the specifications of the spa park maintenance company. This includes mowing the lawns and meadows, pruning shrubs and hedges, path maintenance, summer and fall planting work, leaf disposal including composting in the compost store, maintenance of the flower beds and cleaning work as well as winter maintenance. We also look after the "Little Fir Forest" as part of the Landgraves' Garden Landscape.
