Grave maintenance and grave design
The beneficiaries are responsible for ensuring that the gravesite is landscaped three months after burial (at least 50% of the gravesite must be permeable to water). No special requirements are made for this design. However, care must be taken to ensure that the gravesite is in a proper condition for the duration of the right of use. This means that the gravesite must be maintained and the gravestone must be stable. The stability is checked by the authorities and, if necessary, must be restored by the beneficiaries.
The design of the grave planting and the grave monument is described in the cemetery statutes of the town of Bad Homburg v. d. Höhe. The installation of a gravestone by a stonemasonry company requires the prior - free of charge - approval of the cemetery administration. For this purpose, you will receive a gravestone permit application from us or the selected stonemasonry company. Any construction of an enclosure, the laying of grave slabs and the erection of a gravestone is subject to approval. The applications must be accompanied by a draft gravestone with a ground plan and side view on a scale of 1:10, stating the material and its processing, in duplicate.
