What does the Youth Advisory Council do?

The Youth Advisory Council helps young people to pursue their own ideas, wishes and ideas concerning public life in Bad Homburg. To this end, it advises the municipal committees as an expert in its own right on all matters that affect young people.

The Youth Advisory Council

  • Has the right to submit questions and proposals to the municipal council.
  • Is independent, non-partisan and free in its choice of topics.
  • Is an advisory member of the city council and all committees.
Who is the Youth Advisory Council?

The Youth Advisory Council is currently made up of 13 young people between the ages of 13 and 17 as follows: 4 delegates from Humbold School, 3 delegates from Kaiserin-Friedrich-Gymnasium, 2 delegates from Gesamtschule am Gluckenstein, 2 delegates from Maria-Ward-Schule and 2 young people who live in Bad Homburg but do not attend any of the city's four secondary schools.
