Travel for children and young people

All trips with supervision for children and young people can receive money. The organizer must offer the trips as trips for children and young people. This applies to trips organized by recognized youth welfare organizations, youth groups or special youth tour operators. Examples of such organizers can be found under "Further information".

No money is paid for trips to relatives or other private individuals. Trips with parents or other private persons do not receive any money either. We are happy to help you choose a suitable trip for children or young people. The families book and organize the trip themselves.

How much money a family receives depends on the family's income. The number of children and the travel costs are also important. Families with a medium income can receive money. The city gives money as long as there is money. The important thing is when we receive the application. The application must be with us before the trip. We are happy to provide information and help with the application and the procedure.
