Running, cycling, tennis, swimming, soccer, yoga... alone or in a group... in the hall, in the park, on the street... in the morning, during the lunch break or in the evening - from toddler classes to senior hiking: Exercise and sporting activity takes place in a wide variety of places, at a wide variety of times, by a wide variety of population groups. The needs and offers of sport and exercise opportunities in the city were recorded back in 2008, and now it is time to review them: What has happened since then? Has demand changed? What about the offers? Does it still fit together?

The aim of the sports development plan is to plan the sports facilities and infrastructure on the basis of knowledge-based management in the long term and in line with demand, and to ensure that all Bad Homburg residents have access to a sustainable range of exercise options. The result is an agenda for sport at the interface between sport and urban development.
