News

Every COMPASS city and every COMPASS municipality works together with the state of Hesse. If successful, they receive their own safety seal. KOMPASS is an offer from the Hessian Ministry of the Interior. It is aimed at towns and municipalities. The aim of the program is to improve security in the municipalities. The aim is to find suitable solutions to local problems. The focus is on prevention.

The COMPASS Advisor is important. The COMPASS advisor is a police officer. He is constantly talking to the partners. He documents the progress of the initiatives for more security. First he talks to the representatives of the municipality. He draws up a detailed safety analysis with them. This analysis is for the respective city or municipality. All proven police measures are taken into account. All programs that are already in place are also taken into account. Existing measures are reviewed. A precise list of measures is drawn up. This list shows how local security can be improved.
