    Digital media such as eBooks, eAudios, eVideos, ePapers and eMusic can be downloaded free of charge. These have been available at the Bad Homburg City Library since 2012. The library is a partner of OnleiheVerbundHessen.

    You can download the media at any time. You can read, listen to and view them on private devices.

    You can access them via the portal www.onleiheverbundhessen.de.

    Or you can use the Onleihe app for Android and Apple devices.

    How to use the eLibrary:

    • Select a medium.

    • Select the library under "Media account".

    • Enter the 8-digit library card number.
    • Enter the password. The password is the date of birth: DD.MM.YYYY.


    If a digital item is on loan, you can reserve it free of charge.

    You will receive an e-mail when it is available.

    You can borrow digital media for different lengths of time. eBooks and eAudios can be borrowed for three weeks. eVideos and eMusic can be borrowed for one week. Magazines can be borrowed for one day. Daily newspapers can be borrowed for one hour.

    Advantages of the eLibrary:
    You don'thave to return anything,
    You do not pay any late fees,
    You do notreceive a reminder.

    After the loan period, you can no longer use the digital medium.

    You will quickly find what you are looking for. This applies to school, study or leisure. The Brockhaus Encyclopedia gives you access to good knowledge. This knowledge is verified. It is not freely available.

    Here you can find information about important people. These people are from business, culture, science and politics. The biographies briefly describe their influence and position. Backgrounds and achievements are also explained.


    Kindlers Literatur Lexikon
    This is a unique encyclopedia of works. It describes international literature in German.
    Works from all literatures of the world are explained in articles.


    Critical Dictionary of Contemporary German-Language Literature (KLG)
    Here you will find many articles about German-language authors. These authors are from the 21st century. There are detailed biographies. There is also a list of works and a bibliography of secondary literature.


    Critical Dictionary of Contemporary Foreign Language Literature (KLfG)
    Here you will find articles on foreign-language writers. These authors are from the 20th and 21st centuries. They shape the literature of their language and cultural area. All original editions are listed in detailed bibliographies. All translations into German and the most important secondary literature are also listed.

    The digital library will help you. You can find a lot of information with one search. This includes library catalogs and literature databases. You can quickly find out where a text is. You can get the text by document delivery, online or in a library.

    The StadtBibliothek is part of the Rhein Main Library Network. Therefore this service is free of charge for you .
