City archive
As the "memory of the city", the city archive has a task. The town archive preserves the historical heritage of Bad Homburg. The town archive makes the heritage accessible. The town archive communicates the heritage comprehensively.

The city archive is located in the Villa Wertheimber in Gustavsgarten. There is a modern reading room for anyone interested in the past and present of the spa town. There are many workstations in the reading room. You can read documents and books there.

The town archive connects the past and the future. This is where research into the history of the town, the concerns of the town administration and historical educational work come together.

Opening hours: Tuesday from morning to afternoon; Wednesday from afternoon to evening; Friday from morning to noon.

We recommend that you register your visit to the reading room in advance by telephone or e-mail. We can then provide you with the first documents relating to your question.

You can also visit our Facebook page. There you will find the latest news from the city archive.
