With LITTLE BIRD, we can offer you an interactive solution that is unique in Germany for more proximity, transparency and efficiency in the search for and allocation of childcare places. Once you have made a reservation at a facility, you will receive prompt feedback as to whether a place is available in the requested childcare period, giving you greater planning security.
And this is how the procedure works in detail:
You can use the LITTLE BIRD online portal to quickly and conveniently get an overview of suitable childcare facilities in your area from the comfort of your own home. You can select according to various criteria and request your child from up to 5 preferred facilities, stating your priorities if necessary. If you have any problems with this process, you are welcome to contact the daycare center administration.
Based on the place requests received, each facility can plan precisely and compare their capacities. As all occupied places are stored in the system with their contract duration, the managers have a concrete overview of the childcare situation at all times.
The institution(s) you have enquired about will contact you and invite you to an introductory meeting if necessary.
If the facility can make a reservation offer, you can confirm this in order to make a binding reservation for the childcare place. Places are still allocated at the facilities, only childcare place requests are managed centrally! If you receive rejections from several facilities, we will be happy to help you in the daycare center administration. Please make an appointment for this.
If you accept a reservation offer, the other place requests for your child are automatically hidden from the central reservation list. This lets other facilities and the daycare center administration know that no more places are being sought for your child.
The facility will contact you a few months before the start of care regarding the final care contract. Please note that any existing contract with another facility must be terminated accordingly. Otherwise it will not be possible to conclude a contract.
