Dornholzhausen local advisory council
The Dornholzhausen district has had a local advisory council since 1972. This is stated in the Hessian municipal code. The local council was created as a result of the territorial reform.

Election as part of the local elections
The citizens of Dornholzhausen elect the members of the local advisory council. This takes place at the same time as the election of the city councillors. The members work for Dornholzhausen on a voluntary basis. The local advisory council discusses important issues for Dornholzhausen. It also discusses the budget. The local advisory council can make suggestions for Dornholzhausen.

The local councillor is Simone Loewen. She is the chairwoman of the local council. Hans-Peter Grösgen represents her.
