Yellow bag

The collection of yellow bags is organized privately. This is done by Duales Systeme Deutschland (DSD). DSD gives the tasks to private disposal companies. The company KNETTENBRECH + GURDULIC Service GmbH & Co KG collects the lightweight packaging in Bad Homburg.

The yellow bags are collected every two weeks. They must be placed at the roadside. Please leave enough space on the sidewalk. Baby carriages and walking frames must be able to pass. The collection dates can be found in the waste calendar. They can also be found in the Bad Homburg waste app.

Packaging goes into the Yellow Bag or Yellow Bin. For example:

  • Plastic packaging
  • Styrofoam for packaging
  • Plastic bags
  • Bottles that are only used once
  • Plastic film
  • Cups, for example for yogurt
  • Aluminum foil
  • Packaging made from various materials, for example Tetra Packs
  • Metal packaging, for example cans
  • foamed plastics

These items should not be put in the yellow garbage can or yellow bag. For example

  • Old glass
  • Old paper
  • Toys made of wood or plastic
  • Things that are not packaging, for example baby diapers
  • Plastics that are not packaging, for example buckets or flower boxes
  • Waste from the kitchen
  • Scrap metal
  • Hazardous waste

Get more yellow bags

The company from Dual Systems Germany distributes the bags. The company distributes the bags to every household. This happens at the end of the year. If there are not enough bags, you will receive more bags. You can get the bags at the recycling center. The distribution is only for the citizens of Bad Homburg. Everyone only gets one roll.

If you have run out of yellow bags, you can also use transparent bags.
