Residual waste

Residual waste includes waste. This waste can no longer be recycled. This waste is not hazardous. Residual waste is collected every two weeks. The large residual waste containers are collected every week. The collection dates can be found in the current waste calendar. The collection dates can also be found in the Bad Homburg waste app.

Separate correctly

The residual waste garbage can (black garbage can) can contain, for example

  • Sweepings and vacuum cleaner bags
  • Wallpaper residues
  • Mirrors
  • Flat glass waste
  • Porcelain and ceramics from the household
  • Wooden or plastic toys
  • Medication, plasters and bandages
  • Diapers and hygiene articles
  • Textile scraps, rags and rags
  • Cat litter, small animal manure and small animal litter
  • Cold ash
  • Cigarette butts
  • Wax
  • Slides, cassettes, video tapes and floppy disks
  • Adhesive tape, string, rubber and plastic parts
  • Baking paper
  • Thermal paper and receipts
  • File folders
  • Writing and office utensils such as felt-tip pens, ballpoint pens, markers, backing paper from stickers and labels
  • Light bulbs and halogen lamps

Do not put in the residual waste garbage can, for example

  • Waste paper
  • Waste glass
  • Tin cans and hazardous waste
  • Plastic packaging
  • Composite packaging
  • Organic kitchen and garden waste
  • Energy-saving lamps and LED lamps

No residual waste at the recycling center

Please note: The recycling center does not accept residual waste. This applies to all small items. The parts are smaller than 80 cm. The parts are in bags and boxes. This also applies to purchased residual waste bags.
