Garden waste

You can use the garden waste collection service. Collection is free of charge. The collection is for private households. Collection is 10 times a year. Collection is from February to November. The dates are listed in the waste calendar. The dates can also be found in the Bad Homburg waste app.

This is taken away:

  • Brushwood, leaves, bark, grass cuttings
  • Lumber and branches. The branches are as thick as an arm. The branches are no longer than 1.5 meters.

This is not taken away:

  • Soil
  • Grass turf
  • Thick branches, tree trunks and stumps. Please dispose of via the bulky waste collection service or at the recycling centers. It must not be more than one cubic meter.
  • Garden waste in plastic bags, pop-up containers, big bags and cardboard boxes

How it works

Please tie the clippings together with string or twine. It should be manageable. It should not be longer than 1.5 meters.

Permitted containers (Attention: new rules!):

  • Paper bags up to waist high. They should consist of at least three layers.

We do not take waste in other packaging. For example, in larger containers, plastic bags, big bags, pop-up containers or cardboard boxes.

You must place the green waste at the roadside on the day of collection. Please ensure that the sidewalk remains clear. Baby carriages and walking frames should also be able to get through.

The total amount must not be more than a lot.
