From February 2025, there will be new rules for the collection of green waste. The changes will protect the health of employees. Bad Homburg offers the collection of green waste. You can also take the green waste to the recycling center.
These new rules will apply from February 2025:
- Green waste must be bundled or placed in thick 80-liter paper bags.
- No reusable containers such as pop-up containers, big bags or cardboard boxes may be used.
The new rules protect the health of employees:
- There is a risk of injury from incorrectly provided or heavy green waste.
- There is a risk of accidents due to wedged branches.
- Mold spores in garden leaves are dangerous to health.
- Fermentation liquid in containers or plastic bags is unhygienic.
Employees used to pour the containers by hand. This is no longer permitted. The new measures protect the safety and health of employees. The depot asks all citizens to observe the new rules. The waste disposal company Meinhardt GmbH & Co KG can help with any questions on 0800-723 9338.
