Girls go technic alliance
There are a variety of exciting apprenticeships and study subjects - especially in the STEM field. MINT stands for mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology. However, half of all girls and boys opt for the same ten.
Clichés and traditional role models are restrictive! Unfortunately, the cliché that certain training courses and professions are more suited to men or women persists.
The girls go technic alliance believes that young women* should not be deterred from choosing a technical profession if it suits their inclinations. Of course, the same also applies to young men who would like to go into the education and care sector, for example.
Who is girls go technic:
We are players from companies, schools and institutions in the Hochtaunus district. the alliance was founded in 2009 on the initiative of the municipal women's representative in the Hochtaunus district. Our aim is to open up the range of apprenticeships to girls in particular and to promote and utilize their potential in the so-called MINT professions.
