What is it about?

Reading mentors work closely with schools to support children from first to sixth grade in reading, speaking and understanding German texts. The focus is on the joy of language and the fun of books. They usually come to the elementary school once a week and spend 20 minutes with the child in a quiet corner during a school lesson. The child reads a text aloud, the reading mentor perhaps corrects the intonation once and, especially at the end, talks about what the text was about.
