The pedagogical advisory service is assigned to Department 51, Municipal Daycare Centers.
It advises, trains and supports the teams and management of the city's daycare centers in all pedagogical matters. She also supports the facilities in the further development of educational concepts. She is the point of contact for parents who would like support in discussions with professionals or have questions about educational issues. At the request of educators and with the consent of parents, she observes children who are currently experiencing challenging situations, for example. She then develops strategies for action in cooperation with parents and professionals in order to provide the best possible support for the child. Her work is based on the Hessian education and upbringing plan and the KiTa quality standards of the city of Bad Homburg. She has an advisory function and is not authorized to issue instructions. All consultations are confidential and are subject to confidentiality, unless she learns of a risk to the child's welfare.
