Dornholzhausen local advisory council
The Dornholzhausen district has had a local advisory council since 1972 as a result of the agreements on incorporation in the course of the territorial reform. The establishment and duties of the local advisory council are regulated in the Hessian municipal code.

Election as part of the local elections
The members of the local advisory council are elected by the citizens of Dornholzhausen at the same time as the city councillors for the term of office of the city council. They work on a voluntary basis for their district. The local advisory council must be consulted on all important matters affecting the local district, in particular on the draft budget. It also has the right to make proposals in all matters concerning Dornholzhausen.

For the CDU: Susanne Beckmann, Hans-Peter Grösgen, Simone Loewen, Martin Reißmann, Juliane Freifrau von Rotenhan.
For the FDP: Dr. Tobias Nägle.
For the Greens: Claudia Müller-Kaldauke.
For the SPD: Inge Weißmüller.
For the SU: Frank Hirschelmann.
The local councillor (chairwoman of the local council) is Simone Loewen. She is represented by Hans-Peter Grösgen.
