The City of Bad Homburg has established a process management tool that documents and visualizes all existing business processes. The aim of uniform process management is to create a transparent process basis for the analysis and optimization of organizational processes (e.g. in the event of organizational adjustments). The digital mapping of processes is gradually being implemented.
Process management, also known as business process management (BPM), deals with the identification, design, documentation, implementation, control and optimization of business processes. Holistic approaches to business process management address not only technical issues, but also organizational aspects in particular, such as strategic orientation, organizational culture or the integration and management of process participants.
A process management tool is an essential prerequisite for setting up successful process management. This has been established at the City of Bad Homburg - also with a focus on cross-city group use. Visible and transparent processes help to identify where action is needed and to carry out optimizations. Furthermore, a functioning process management tool is a good basis for the digitalization of processes and the implementation of digital solutions in their entirety.
