The district of Ober-Eschbach has had a local advisory council since 1972. This is stated in the agreements on incorporation. The Hessian municipal code regulates the local advisory council.

The citizens of Ober-Eschbach elect the members of the local advisory council. This takes place at the same time as the election of the city councillors. The members work on a voluntary basis for their district. The local advisory council discusses important issues in the district. In particular, it discusses the draft budget. The local advisory council can make proposals that affect Ober-Eschbach.
The local advisory council has nine members.
For the CDU: Timo Damm, Yvonne Velten, Stephan Zalud, Dennis Gräbe.
For the GRÜNEN: Felix Fischer, Sonja Fischer.
For the SPD: Dr. Dietlinde Klar-Scheinert, Wolfgang Laupus.
For the SU: Heike Bergmeier.
The local councillor is Yvonne Velten. She is the chairwoman of the local council. Felix Fischer represents her.
