Political education
Young people should be taught about political structures and processes, their ability to criticize and judge should be strengthened and they should also be motivated to actively participate in political events.
Learning about rights and duties
Political youth education should provide young people with knowledge about society and the state, European and international politics, including politically and socially significant developments in culture, the economy, technology and science. It should enable them to form an opinion about social and political processes and conflicts, enable them to exercise their own rights and interests as well as their duties and responsibilities towards their fellow human beings, society and the environment and encourage them to participate in shaping a free and democratic social and political order. (from: Children and Youth Plan of the Federal Government of December 19, 2000)
In cooperation with the Kaiserin-Friedrich-Gymnasium, an EU project with different thematic focuses has been designed every year since 2011. The target group here are the respective advanced politics courses.
Another cooperation partner is the IPZ (Institut für europäische Partnerschaften und unternationale Zusammenarbeit e.V.).
