The objective of the planning is a coherent urban development overplanning of the entire area with a predominant proportion of commercial space and a general residential area along the street "Im Hasensprung".
Taking into account the special quality of the location between Louisenstraße and the railroad station area, with excellent public transport connections, non-disruptive commercial uses are to be arranged, based on the neighboring Marienbader Höfe, as well as a compatible residential development along the street "Im Hasensprung" to complement the existing residential development. A mixed-use area is designated to mediate between the two areas.
The special potential of the area was also examined in depth and conceptualized as an important building block in the Bad Homburg 2030 planning process. Here it is made clear that the inner-city area, which enables space-saving development in an urban environment, is seen as an important urban building block on which an innovative quarter with a predominantly commercial proportion in combination with a residential proportion is to be created. Due to its special location in the urban fabric, the district is considered to be of particular importance in the future as a link between the railroad station and the city center, given the opportunities that are opening up.
