You can achieve a lot with simple tips and small changes in everyday life. This is how you can reduce your ecological footprint.

Current campaign

The gift sponsorship campaign

The Dornholzhausen District and Family Center and the Louisen Arkaden are running a gift sponsorship campaign. The city administration is helping out. We think the campaign is great. We want to bring in the topic of sustainability.

The gift sponsorship campaign helps children. The children have little money. They can make a wish for Christmas. The wishes are hung on the Christmas tree in the Louisen Arkaden. This is possible from 23.11. to 09.12. You can buy wishes at the sales hut. This is how you make a child's wish come true.
You choose the wish. You pay for the wish.
We get and wrap the present. The SFZ Dornholzhausen passes on the presents before Christmas.

What does this have to do with sustainability?

We often talk about sustainability. We give tips. Christmas is coming soon. We give tips for sustainable giving.

  • "Simply save energy". The project group works together with the Department for Climate Protection, Environment and Mobility. It publishes an internal newsletter. The newsletter comes out regularly. It contains information and tips on saving energy. Each newsletter has a theme. For example: How can you save energy that month? The project group focuses on one topic. In this way, it finds new tips for the employees of the municipal corporation.

  • "Click instead of print - sustainable for Bad Homburg". The new employees from 2021 planned the project. They started it during the orientation days. They implemented it together. The result was a survey. They also made a video with our mayor Dr. Oliver Jedynak. The survey had a goal. It was to show the current measures. It should also show whether more needs to be done. The aim is to continue to promote sustainability in the city of Bad Homburg in the future.
